Acting Rector Dmitry Tayursky is visiting the country.

In particular, he met with founder of Khazar University Hamlet Isakhanli and Rector Irada Khalilova.

The signed memorandum covers cooperation in education and science.

KFU representatives gave lectures about the history and cultural heritage of Tatarstan and Turkic peoples of Eurasia and Khazar archeology.

During the visit, agreements were reached on joint projects with the of Azerbaijan National Academy of Science, the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, and local Museum of Archeology and Ethnography.

A decision was made to establish a joint archeological studies center.
