Junia (Graduate School of Engineering) is positioned as a university of transition above all.

It is also the fruit of our evolution. Our activities are diversifying: international, new campuses, company services, new training offers… Our approaches are becoming interdisciplinary: educational innovation, research, student services, corporate partnerships… The departments and support functions have been reorganized. Our brand portfolio must be better articulated to gain readability. Our identity is redefined to embody who we are and who we want to be.

Establish our national and international positioning

The change of name - by freeing itself from the label of Upper France – allows to establish a national (3 campuses in France, in Lille, Bordeaux and Châteauroux) and international positioning.

Acquire a better readability of our offers via brand architecture

The brand enables us to diversify our training (preparatory training, bachelors, etc.) in addition to our historic diplomas, in France and internationally. The historic diplomas are maintained, and the logos are redesigned to create an atmosphere of a big family. The HEI, ISEN and ISA “great universities” programs thus maintain their historical reputation through integration of name.

Develop a sense of belonging for our students beyond diplomas

Associate our new brand with all of our activities: career center, student services… open to all our students - regardless of their course or campus.

Reflect our transformation

Our school is evolving and reorganizing itself in an interdisciplinary way, and no longer by diploma. It also has development ambitions.

Create a unique image for research

This allows to display a unique image of research (publications, involvement in labs, partnership research…), and to promote under a single banner the value of scientific expertise of the school until then presented by degree.

Provide a single point of entry for businesses

This provides a clear and unique way for establishing partnerships with companies seeking multiple skills of diplomas and research expertise.

Benefit from an explicit employer brand

It brings together collaborators and participants of all the courses and campuses. It attracts talents who would like to join the association.

The MEANING OF Junia?

Talent and youth

The pronunciation of the name has double meaning: genius and youth.

Junia - which sounds like a family name - becomes an embodiment of that.

Genius, as a creative capacity, inventiveness,      ingenuity, a talent to cultivate, an aptitude to invent. It also refers to      the "geniuses" in the fields of engineering (mechanical,      environmental, industrial, digital…) and the historical know-how of      schools.

Youth, in reference to our students, but also      seen as a possibility, a perpetual renewal, a become, a beautiful promise      for the future.

In resonance with our Christian values

The name resonates with our Christian values - carriers of commitment -, by its reference to Junia, apostle of the 1st century, and to contemporary echoes: although the name sounds like feminine, the character of Junia makes its gender an enigma. The name is then androgynous: it can be attributed to a woman or a man without distinction. This hybridization embodies modernity and openness.

United, in Junia

It stems from the idea of union. Integration. It is showed by the ligature of the “u” and the “n” in the logo.

United is also an evocation of University, internationally renowned and consistent with our profession of higher education.
