The QS ranking is one of the most recognizable university rankings in the world. It belongs to the so-called "Big Three" next to the Shanghai Ranking and Times Higher Education. - Over the past four years, the Silesian University of Technology has been noted in the three most important rankings for world science. It is a huge success for us and a very important achievement of the University. It is worth emphasizing, that we are at the forefront of Polish universities present in these rankings, but we are also working on strengthening this position - says Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk, rector of the Silesian University of Technology.

In its assessment, the QS ranking takes into account 6 main indicators, such as: academic reputation, reputation of employers, the number of academic staff to students, the number of citations and internationalization. - We are very well evaluated in these areas, thanks to which the Silesian University of Technology becomes visible not only on the global arena of science, but also gains completely new development opportunities. As a research university, we develop six priority areas in which we specialize. The rankings have a great impact on acquiring new contacts, the best academic staff and socio-economic partners. The ability to define and communicate your own potential is key to establishing cooperation with foreign scientific and business partners. The increase of internationalization of the Silesian University of Technology is one of the main goals to be achieved in the next term - adds Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk.
