On September 23, with the vigorous support of the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, the online matchmaking meeting between universities in Chongqing and Buenos Aires, Argentina was successfully held. Relevant leaders of Chongqing and Buenos Aires attended the meeting. Seven universities in Chongqing, including Chongqing Jiaotong University, and seven Argentine universities, including Universidad de Palermo, Universidad Nacional de San Martín, and Universidad Argentina de la Empresa, participated in the online matchmaking meeting. MAO Mingyong, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of Chongqing Jiaotong University, XU Houzhi, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and relevant staff of the International Cooperation Projects Section of the Office attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Chongqing Jiaotong University had one-to-one exchanges with Universidad de Palermo, Universidad Nacional de San Martín, and Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires respectively, and had in-depth and friendly discussions on disciplines and majors, mutual visits of teachers and students, and cooperation in scientific research. Universities from both sides expressed their strong willingness to cooperate and would actively promote the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and substantive cooperation agreements subsequently.
