On Tuesday, 21st of September at the Silesian University of Technology a meeting was held on joint future activities concerning cooperation between our University and the Regional Energy Council.
The meeting was attended by Vice Rector for Collaboration with Civic and Economic Environment, Prof. Janusz Kotowicz, President of the Regional Energy Council, Deputy Mayor of the City of Rybnik Janusz Koper, Director of the Silesian Union of Municipalities and Districts Witold Magryś. The meeting was also attended remotely by the secretary of the Council, head of the office of the Częstochowa City Hall, Mrs. Bożena Herbuś.
During the meeting, issues related to the organization of subsequent meetings of the Regional Energy Council, which would also be hosted by the Silesian University of Technology, were discussed. The subject of next meetings will include the energy transformation of the region, taking into account the experience of the Silesian University of Technology.
Bearing in mind the need to take care of the future of the Silesian region, our University actively cooperates with representatives of organisations operating here, providing both substantive and practical support on various aspects of energy transformation.
The date of the next REC meeting is initially set for the end of October this year, subject to the possibility of postponing it due to the ongoing epidemic.
