On January 29, 2024, the official opening of the First International Winter School Obninsk.Tex Winter School took place. The event was held on the basis of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI with the support of the Rosatom State Corporation.
The program is designed for five days and includes lectures, workshops and master classes from leading teachers of MEPhI and representatives of Rosatom, technical tours to nuclear industry enterprises, as well as cultural and sports events.
The Winter School brought together over 120 international students from 34 countries, including two students of MGSU. MGSU was represented by students of the Department of Thermal and Nuclear Power Plants Construction of the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Power Plant Construction Alshraideh Mohammad and Rustem Omarov. The students highly appreciated extensive event program of the Winter School. They also noted that networking is an important component of the event, as they had the opportunity to communicate with different representatives of the industry and exchange experience.
The Winter School is the first educational project of the International Scientific and Educational Center "Obninsk.Tech".
