JITRI is a leading applied research organization in China, founded in 2013 to promote industrial technology research and commercialization of science and technology achievements. It also plays a key role in the National Innovation Center — Yangtze Delta (NICE).

We are honored to collaborate with JITRI, one of China’s most powerful technology clusters. The most important thing for us is the real interaction and joint projects between scientists from our countries. Polytechnic University’s cooperation with JITRI opens up tremendous prospects. We are happy to welcome organizations that are part of your cluster and have already prepared several interesting proposals for joint work, — said Dmitry Arseniev. He also emphasized the successful experience of establishing a representative office in Shanghai and an office in Nanjing, which allowed to significantly advance in the Chinese market of education and science.

In addition, plans to create joint laboratories with Chinese universities and research centers were discussed. We are confident that the establishment of joint structures in partner countries such as China and Russia will be the next step in our cooperation. With the current changes in the international environment, we hope to actively implement joint projects, especially in the fields of energy, biomedical systems and biotechnology, telecommunications and intelligent control systems, Luo Yang emphasized.

The JITRI delegation also visited the Institute of Biomedical Systems and Biotechnology. Olga Vlasova, Director of the Graduate School of Biomedical Systems and Technologies, told the Chinese colleagues about the structure of the university, its scientific and educational activities, as well as its work with Russian and foreign partners from among academic and industrial organizations.

To discuss cooperation in the field of energy, the Chinese colleagues met with Viktor Barskov, Director of the Institute of Energy, and visited the Turbine Engineering Laboratory in the Mechanical Building. Barskov demonstrated to the members of the delegation the equipment designed to solve modern tasks for the design of new turbines in line with the requests of major industrial partners.

At the next meeting with the Director of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Computer Science Dmitry Zegzhda and the directors of the Institute’s higher schools, the parties identified the most promising areas of cooperation. Among them were highlighted the application of supercomputing technologies and artificial intelligence in medicine, energy and projects for urban infrastructure. JITRI Chairman Luo Yang emphasized the high interest of the Chinese cluster in these areas and suggested using them as a basis for further cooperation plans.
