BUCEA successfully hosts the ISPRS Conference on Geo-Informatics Supported Disaster Risk Reduction and Smarter Urban Management

The ISPRS Conference on Geo-Informatics Supported Disaster Risk Reduction and Smarter Urban Management, which was hosted by the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), successfully opened at Xiyuan Hotel in Beijing on the morning of November 1.

Held both online and offline, the Conference attracted hundreds of audiences in total. Its attendees included well-known experts and scholars of universities, research institutes, and professional institutions from countries including China, Türkiye, Germany, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, the Philippines, Serbia, and other regions.

There are 15 academic sessions in the three-day conference, covering 9 invited presentations and 74 academic presentations. During the conference, three special sessions will be held respectively on the topics of “Open Science Approaches for DRR”, “One-Stop Remote Sensing Big Data Online Services”, and “Ecological Environment Monitoring to Urban Areas along China-Europe Railway”. In addition, participating experts will conduct discussions and exchanges with a focus on disaster management technology developments, applications of remote sensing and photogrammetry to disaster monitoring and management, digital twins, construction of resilient cities, and other topics.
