KATRU Chairman of the Board - Rector K.Tireuov held a meeting with Professor of the Northwest University of Agriculture and Forestry Zhang Zhengmao.
Zhang Zhengmao works as the head of the laboratory of grain genetics of the Tsyhyzi corporation. The first meeting of the Seifullin University management with Zhang Zhengmao took place in November 2023 in China, and at that meeting the scientist demonstrated his experimental fields. The second meeting took place at KATRU in May 2024, during which an agreement was reached to open a joint laboratory for determining the quality of grain crops on the basis of KATRU.
Saken Seifullin KATRU Chairman of the Board - Rector Kanat Tireuov exchanged views with scientist Zhang Zhengmao on agricultural science and noted that it is important to develop the partnership between our university and Northwest University of China, not forgetting to mention scientific ties.
"S. Seifullin University considers Northwest University A&F of China as one of its important partners. Evidence of this is a number of works that are currently being carried out between the two universities in research. We are always interested in the comprehensive development of relations with Chinese universities," said Kanat Maratovich.
In turn, Professor Zhang Zhengmao, expressing gratitude to the Rector for his attention, spoke about the opening of a scientific school in the new laboratory and discussed the necessary equipment for the laboratory.
During the meeting, the parties created a working group on joint laboratory issues and paid attention to expanding mutual cooperation.
