The two executives met on 15 November.
The delegation of one of the top universities of the world visited KFU as part of ROSTKI Russia-China Forum. In April 2024, the universities signed a memorandum of understanding, and KFU became the third Russian partner.
During the meeting, the parties discussed possible promising areas for strengthening and expanding cooperation in science and education.
Dr Safin noted that KFU is particularly active in its research activities in biomedicine, new energy, digital technologies, robotics and artificial intelligence, as well as modern materials science.
Academician Piao, in turn, said that Peking University is already very effectively cooperating with KFU in oil and gas, and expressed hope for further cooperation in this area. Also, according to the vice-president, the university is interested in joint projects with Kazan University in environmental protection and biotechnology. Later in the day, the delegation proceeded to visit relevant departments.
