BUCEA hosts the 1st BRAUIC Young Scholars Forum

The 1st BRAUIC Young Scholars Forum was successfully held on the afternoon of November 7. Initiated by the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC) and hosted by the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), the forum received support from Anhui Jianzhu University, Ryazan Institute, Moscow Polytechnic University (Russia), St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Russia), University of East London (UK) and Zhengzhou University.

The forum was held online. Professor JIANG Jie, Secretary-General of BRAUIC and Executive Dean of the International Development Research Institute (School of International Education) of BUCEA, attended the forum and delivered a welcoming address. LI Yang, Head of International Cooperation Office (Secretariat of BRAUIC) chaired the forum.

Under the theme of “Railway: A New Bond Along the Silk Road”, the students and young scholars participating in the forum reflected on the historical features preservation, overall quality improvement, and sustainable development of railways and cities along the routes with a digitalized thinking and new technologies such as computer-aided technology, virtual reality, digital twins, geographic information system, and remote sensing technology. By doing so, they exchanged and presented the design concepts, creative processes, and achievement presentation of the 2022 Belt and Road International Student Competition on Digital Architectural Design.
