发布时间:2023-07-10

The Egyptian company’s delegation, headed by CEO Waleed Deabes, arrived in Kazan. A meeting was arranged at KFU’s Emperor Ballroom on 6 July.

The signed document details the sides’ objectives, rights, obligations, preparatory measures, and mentions that KFU now has a rent-free right of use of the company’s premises (20.5 thousand square meters). The branch will implement KFU’s study programs in Egypt in order to strengthen ties between the two countries.

Rector Lenar Safin greeted the guests, “We have strong relations with the Arab world, Arab universities and scientific centers. The partnership of Kazan Federal University with the Arab Republic of Egypt is actively developing against the background of expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation between our countries. And the flagship project of opening our branch in Cairo, with the active support of Modern Group, deserves special attention.”

The Rector noted great prospects of the Egyptian educational market, the branch’s strategic location in the Middle East and Africa region, and the growing popularity of Russian language and Russian education there.

“Our main tasks are sustaining a high level of education and efficiency of management processes in the project,” added Dr Safin.

The Cairo Branch plans to start work in autumn 2023. Among the majors are general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, and nursing. The diplomas will be recognized in Egypt pursuant to an existing agreement between the two governments.

Waleed Deabes also met with Rais (Governor) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and discussed Modern Group’s activities and the upcoming opening.
