Today, Seifullin University hosted a meeting with the official delegation of the Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry of China.
The Deputy Director of the International Department of NWA&F University Zou Yufeng, Professor of the Faculty of Agronomy of NWA&F University Zhang Zhengmao, Professor Hu Yinggang, Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy of NWA&F University Shang Weixin, Dean of the Faculty of Soils and Water Conservation of NWA&F University, Professor Feng Hao and Dean of the Faculty of Food Sciences and Engineering of NWA&F University, Professor Lu Xin arrived as part of the delegation.
During the meeting, the representatives of the delegation conveyed to the university administration a special greeting and gratitude from the Rector of the NWA&F University.
The purpose of this meeting is to resume work after the pandemic within the framework of a memorandum between the two universities.
The delegation proposed to open a double degree program and a joint laboratory in the specialties "Food", "Food safety", and "Veterinary medicine".
Dean of the Faculty of Soils and Water Conservation at NWA&F University, Professor Feng Hao noted the special role of Kazakhstan in the agricultural sector, but also low productivity. To increase that productivity, he recommended working together with scientists of Seifullin University to study the composition of the soil, water conservation in low-water areas of Kazakhstan.
In turn, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of Seifullin University Ismail Tokbergenov supported the proposals of the foreign professor. He also proposed to start joint work on the cultivation of wheat varieties and forestry in Kazakhstan, to solve the problems of shortage of water resources in the North Kazakhstan region.
Chairman of the Board - Rector Kanat Tireuov accepted the proposals of the Northwest A&F University delegation and instructed the deans of the faculties to start working together as part of a large-scale bilateral project.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the delegation expressed special gratitude to the university management and invited them to NWA&F University.
It is worth noting that since the spring of 2016, partnerships have been established between Seifullin University and Northwestern Agricultural and Forestry University.
Within the framework of the contract, for 7 years, joint research was conducted on the use of innovations used in China in Kazakhstan, the exchange of knowledge of specialists and students, biotechnology, ecology, agricultural sciences and the development of new varieties of crops.
The parties expressed confidence that these proposals will raise Kazakh-Chinese cooperation in the field of agriculture to a new level.
