发布时间:2023-06-19

Lecturer of the Department of Physics and Chemistry of the S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University, Associate Professor, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Ibatayev Zharkyn Abikeevich is currently undergoing a scientific internship in Japan under the Bolashak program.

The internship is conducted on the basis of the Laboratory of Natural Products for Drug Discovery (laboratory of natural compounds focused on the search for medicines) under the supervision of Professor Oyama Masayoshi of Osaka University.

Zharkyn Abikeevich conducts a number of studies in the field of chemistry of natural compounds. Earlier, in 2017, on the basis of a scholarship from the Matsumae International Foundation in Japan, he carried out work on the study of plant composition in the laboratory of Professor Oyama Masayoshi at Gifu Pharmaceutical University.

The Matsumae Foundation aims to exchange experience, allowing the world's leading scientists to conduct scientific work in laboratories in Japan. In addition, scientists from all sides will be able to exchange experiences, travel around Japan. At the same time, it is essential to note that the candidate scientist who meets the conditions of the competition is a leading specialist in his field and has not been to Japan before.

In 2017, Zharkyn Abikeevich within the framework of this grant, spent 6 months of research in Japan, got acquainted with the culture of the country, established contacts with scientists from Ukraine, Russia, Miami, China, India, Poland, Cameroon, Thailand and other countries.

His purpose is to determine the use of plants and mushroom growing on Kazakh land for medicinal and agricultural purposes.

"International programs such as "Bolashak" allow scientists to conduct fundamental research and establish relationships. Science requires considerable effort, discussion, and collaboration. It is very important that our scientists often undergo advanced training and internships abroad in order to keep up-to-date with world-class science," says Zharkyn.

They wish Zharkyn Abikeevich success in his work and study and hope that his acquired knowledge will help on the development of science in their country.
