On May 31st, ZHANG Ruiwei, Chief Representative of the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Project Office of the Ministry of National Development of Singapore, visited Tianjin Chengjian University（TCU）. TCU President BAI Haili met with the guest.
Director of TCU International Cooperation Office gave a brief introduction to the international exchange and cooperation of the university. Deans of TCU School of Architecture, School of Energy and Safety Engineering, School of Computer and Information Engineering, School of Control and Mechanical Engineering, and School of Urban Art etc. respectively introduced general information of the schools and expressed their cooperation interest. Both sides discussed about deepening scientific research cooperation and school-enterprise cooperation in green buildings and intelligent technology etc. based on the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City in the future, as well as connecting to the "Double Excellence Center " and jointly carry out talent cultivation with Singapore University of Technology and Design, and so on. Both sides reached consensus in the end.
After the meeting, the guest visited the graduation design exhibition of School of Urban Art and exchanged ideas with teachers at the school. Through the visit, Mr. ZHANG had a better understanding of the school's disciplinary features and development orientation, and he expressed recognition for students’ works, and the university’s student training achievements.
TCU will take this visit as an opportunity to further expand cooperation with relevant universities in Singapore, integrate resources from schools and enterprises at home and abroad, and actively explore cooperation modes to promote high-quality development of the university.
